3 Call Training Tips To Improve Your Results
Today I would like to help you with some call training. Regardless of where you are in the ladder of success in this industry, one thing is for sure. If you are going to achieve any level of success you are going to have to use the phone.
One of the most important things you can do for yourself and your business is to improve your phone skills with quality call training. I’ve put together 3 call training tips I would like to focus on to help you improve your results.
1 Call Training – Call Every Lead
One of the biggest mistakes I see all the time, is the fact that people will simply not call back their leads. Let me ask you this. What is the sense of putting in all the time to generate leads if you are never, ever going to call them? I know you’ve heard to call back all your leads a hundred times before, but when you’re reading this call training you really need to listen.
Have you ever tried to call someone about their Network Marketing/Internet business and never got a call back? Make sure you’re not one of these people. It may not be easy at first, but it will get more comfortable as time goes on. Remember how difficult it was to ride a bike the first time, but after a while it got so much easier. Calling your leads back is very similar.
2 Call Training – Never Hype a Lead
So many people get on the phone and try to hype their lead into their business. They tell them how great the company is, how much money they can make, how much someone else is making, how they can win free trips, etc. When they get done, there is no need for them to go take a look at a business presentation, you already told them everything. If you really want people to be curious about your business and get them interested in what you have to offer, you need to change your approach. Other call training may tell you to hype them, this call training is telling you that is not the way that works best.
You need to tell them things like you’re not sure if this business is for them or not and it’s no big deal if they are not interested. This will show them you don’t need them and they’ll want to at least check it out.
3 Call Training – Control of the Conversation
You want to make sure you always stay in control of the conversation. This is one of the most important call training tips I can give you. If you stay in control of the conversation, you direct where the conversation goes. You do this by asking the questions. Even when your lead asks you a question, you want to take back control of the conversation.
For example, if your lead asks a question, you could tell them something like “Great question, I look forward to answering all your questions but first let me ask you, what did you like about our presentation?‘ This takes control right back of the conversation and gets your lead talking again. You’ll want to pay close attention to what they say as they will reveal to you the keys to what they are looking for.
You can then use those keys to show them how your business solves their problems. The more they can see you are solving their problems, the sooner they will get involved with your business.
